Providing emotional wellbeing support for children, young people, and families across Medway

The Medway Therapeutic Alliance (MTA) is an emotional wellbeing support service for children and young people in Medway. We bring together a range of trusted organisations to provide joined-up support through one clear and accessible service.

Led by North Kent Mind and commissioned by Medway Council, MTA helps children, young people and families find the right support at the right time — without needing to navigate multiple services alone.

Child-Centred

Children and young people are at the heart of what we do. We listen and shape support around their needs and goals.

Trauma-Informed

We work in ways that are safe, respectful and understanding of how experiences can affect wellbeing.

Inclusive

We recognise every child is different and provide support that is flexible and responsive to individual needs.

Collaborative

We work together with families, professionals and partner organisations to provide joined-up support.

Our Process

From referral to support, we guide children and families every step of the way.

Our Partners

The MTA brings together several organisations with different areas of expertise.

Why we exist

Finding the right support can feel confusing and overwhelming. Many families don’t know where to start or who to speak to.

MTA was created to make support:

  • easier to access

  • easier to understand

  • more joined up

What We Do

We bring services together so children and young people can access support through one place.

We:

  • review each referral carefully

  • listen to the young person’s voice

  • match support based on need

This helps make sure the support offered is right for them.
