MTA offers a range of support for children, young people, and families. We match each child to the most suitable support pathway based on their needs and goals.

Online Support (Kooth)

Kooth is a free and confidential online support service for children and young people, available 24/7.

What they can do:

  • Read advice about feelings and wellbeing
  • Use self-help tools
  • Join safe online discussions

1:1 Chat:

  • Weekdays: 12pm–10pm
  • Weekends: 6pm–10pm

No waiting list. Can be used while waiting for other services.

Lumi Nova is a therapeutic game for children aged 7–12 to help them feel calmer and more confident.

Key points:

  • Understand the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour

  • Learn simple skills to cope with fears and worries

  • Used with support from a parent, carer, or trusted adult

  • Available anytime with no waiting list

Mentoring and group support for young people aged 10–25.

Support includes:

  • 1:1 mentoring for up to 12 weeks
  • Peer support groups for up to 12 weeks
  • Group drop-in sessions during the year

  • Feel less alone

Salus offers mentoring to help children and young people feel more confident and improve wellbeing.

Support may help with:

  • Worries or anxiety

  • Usually for up to 8 weeks

Support includes:

 

  • Understanding what affects behaviour

Support for children coping with the death of someone important.

Support includes:

  • Group sessions
  • Workshops to understand grief
  • 1:1 bereavement support
  • Advice for parents/carers and training for professionals

Support for care leavers aged 16–25.

Support may include:

  • Emotional wellbeing support
  • Understanding available services
  • Accessing support
  • Working with other professionals
  • Flexible support for up to 20 weeks
